South Australia is currently playing host to over 11,000 Scouts from right around the world at the Australian Scout Jamboree. More than 4,000 of them will be coming to Port Adelaide over the next week to check out local attractions including the museums and taking a dolphin cruise.
The National Railway Museum, Port Adelaide have organised two special Adelaide Metro charter trains that will bring the scouts to Port Adelaide each day for seven days, using the existing railway link and railway station at Jacketts, within the grounds of the railway museum and dropping them right at the door of their first local stop.
Mayor Claire Boan stopped in at the Railway Museum this afternoon to say hi, and greet a group of excited Scouts, before they ran off to check out some of the other local attractions.
Welcome! And we hope you enjoy your time here!
