Two of our latest City of PAE trainees have recently been awarded for their outstanding achievements. Both trainees are part of the PAE traineeship program which started in 2015. We currently havefive people who are learning a trade and gaining valuable on-the-job experience in teamwork, leadership and mentoring to enable them to apply for full time roles with the City of PAE.
Timothy Molineux was awarded the 2019 Construction Industry Training Board (South Australia) Excellence in Training Award. He was the first Civil Construction Trainee to join the PAE program after completing his Certificate ll in Civil Construction through local business Maxima Group, Port Adelaide. He has since gained his Certificate lll in Road Maintenance and became a full-time PAE employee in June 2018. He has worked with Council teams on drainage maintenance, line marking, road repairs, concrete and paving. Timothy is regarded as a valuable team member, and has become a Health and Safety representative.
Lu-Cinda Spear won the 2019 Most Outstanding Student in Civil Construction. After completing her TAFE SA Certificate lll in Civil Construction and Plant Operations, Lu-Cinda joined PAE in February 2018. Over the past 12 months she has gained experience in road and drain maintenance, line marking and footpaths, and recently she beat a high calibre of internal and external applicants for a full time PAE role with our Civil Construction team.
