Port Adelaide SA 5015
The Falie has been part of the Port Adelaide’s heart and soul for almost 100 years. Anti-aircraft guns, barley, coal, coke, explosives, fish, gypsum, ice cream, Japanese midget submarines, jeeps, machine guns, petrol, railway sleepers, salt, sheep, timber, tractors, troops, wheat, wool – Falie’s handled them all!
The Falie is one of the few remaining ketches of the 400 strong South Australian fleet to anchor in the hundreds of ports and landing places that used to dot the shoreline and was the last cargo ketch to trade in SA until her final trip in 1982.
Falie has stories to share!
