The Development Act 1993 requires applications to be classified into categories. Category 2 and 3 development applications require notification to adjacent property owners with Category 3 applications also being required to be advertised in the local newspaper.
Should you wish to lodge a representation in respect to an application currently on notification, a written statement including:

Statements of Representation must be received at Council's offices prior to the closing date stated in the Public Notification.
Statements of Representation will only be formally considered by the Council Assessment Panel if they are made by persons who are entitled to be given notice of the relevant application and are submitted within the time period of notification.
All Statements of Representation remain public.
Provisions of the Development Act and Regulations state that a person is entitled, upon request, to obtain a copy of planning documents whilst an application is on public notification. The provision of such documents is restricted to the 10 business day notification period. The Regulations require that, upon making a request for copies of documents, a person must provide specific identifying information such as a Drivers Licence or Passport.
Photocopy fees will be waived for the first 10 pages requested. Standard Council fees will apply thereafter.
