Neighbourhood Gatherings

Published 15th August 2023

Not long after Jess moved into the Klemzig area, we helped her organise a Neighbourhood gathering to give her family the chance to get to know other local people. With local a road closure in place, residents old and young headed out onto the street to play some games, share some food and have a chat. What better place to get together in a safe, intergenerational and inclusive way than in your own street!

Neighbourhood gatherings enable you to spend some time with your neighbours, develop localised connections and to get to know anyone who is new.

If you and your neighbours would like to organise a small get-together or celebration in your local street, we can help you by closing the street so you can enjoy the space safely. With spring on the way, now is the time to plan your Neighbourhood gathering! You might even want to arrange an event to mark an occasion like Halloween, Diwali or Christmas.
