We're bringing Lighthouse Square and some of our finest Wonder walls to life with dynamic augmented reality artworks delivered by an acclaimed line-up of local and international artists, including Dave Court,Elizabeth Close, Kurt Bosecke, Vans The Omega, ETAM Cru, Charles & Janine Williams, Demsky J, and Sam Songailo.

How do I download the app?

How do I use the app?
  1. Download and open the app (see above for links).
  2. Select 'AR Camera'.
  3. Point your phone at a mural and a 3D animation will appear.
When is The BIG Picture Series @ the Port on?

You can experience the AR works at any time until end of February 2023

Where are the Augmented Reality (AR's) works located?

All AR experiences are located in the Port Adelaide heritage precinct. The app features a map and you can pick up a printed map from the Visitor Information Centre, 66 Commercial Road.

What is AR?

Augmented Reality (AR) is an interactive experience where the real-life environment is transformed into a digital 3D animation through your smart phone or device via a dedicated app.

Is The BIG Picture Series COVID-19 safe?

The BIG Picture Series follows COVID-19 safe guidelines to ensure we produce the safest possible experience for everyone. Whilst enjoying The BIG Picture Series, please adhere to social distancing and all SA Health guidelines.

What else is happening in the Port during the Fringe?

As well as enjoying the augmented reality experience of The BIG Picture series, there are many other creative, cultural, arts and Fringe offerings to enjoy. This map shows the other cafes, galleries and pubs you can visit during your BIG Picture experience. We will be adding more information to this page closer to the app launch date.
