Sports and Recreation

Our City boasts a wide range of opportunities for both residents and visitors to access and enjoy sports and recreational activities. Within the City's boundaries there is wetlands, walking trails, picnic reserves, playgrounds, bicycle networks and skate parks plus eight kilometres of beachfront and 50 kilometres of water frontage, offering numerous water sports opportunities including sailing, boating and fishing. The Semaphore Foreshore Reserve caters for all the family through large grassed areas suitable for picnics or BBQ's plus a playground, carousel, mini steam train and waterslide.

For those who like to be energetic the Port Adelaide Enfield Council area accommodates around 300 clubs and organisations providing active sports such as athletics, netball, basketball, lacrosse, hockey, tennis, bowls and of course all five codes of football.

In addition to reserves and ovals for structured sporting activities the Council maintains a number of parks and reserves available to the public for picnics and functions. Whether you want to kick a football, fly a kite or just have a quiet picnic, there is a grassy open spaced area to suit your needs.
