Smoke Free Playgrounds Competition

In March 2020, a nine year old PAE resident expressed her concerns about the impact of cigarette smoke near
playgrounds which impacted her sister’s ability to play. Council listened to her concerns and have made a commitment to address smoking around playgrounds. We are inviting primary school-aged children to help us create a healthier environment by designing a poster that tells a story about cigarette smoke near playgrounds and how it affects other people.

Four winning poster designs will be selected by the Mayor of the City of PAE, and will be printed as posters and postcards to help us spread the message about the impact of smoking in our community.

The four winners will each receive an Officeworks voucher to assist with the purchase of school supplies for 2021.
