Hard Waste

Residential properties can access a service designed to be flexible, with up to 3 services per calendar year. Community groups, churches, not for profit and sporting groups are entitled to receive a maximum of 2 hard waste vouchers per calendar year. Commercial businesses are not entitled to Council’s hard waste service.

Kerbside collections

The maximum items collected per service is 2 cubic meters. Items must be placed out the night before collection and be able to be safely lifted by two people. Items must be on the nature strip in a safe manner, clear of walk ways and not on the street or footpath. Items must not exceed 2 metres in length and 1 metre wide (mattresses exempt).

To book online complete the kerbside collection form online or phone the Waste Line (free call) on 1800 777 844 during office hours.

You will be given a date for your kerbside collection. Please write down the date and booking number. The booking number will help us investigate in the event of any issues.

The week before the service, a reminder letter will be sent confirming the booking date and service requirements. Please do not soley rely on the reminder letter.

This service is only available to residential properties.

Beverley Depot  Public Holiday Closure Dates

  • Easter Closure 29 March 2024 to 1 April 2024, Re-Open Tuesday 2 April 2024.
  • Early Closure 2pm on Christmas Eve 24 December 2024; Closed 25-26 December 2024; Closed 1 January 2025.

A hard waste voucher permits residents, community groups, sports clubs and not for profit groups to drop off one 6x4 trailer load of hard waste and up to 2 x large mattresses.

Drop-off vouchers must be pre-booked before attending the drop off location Beverley Recycling and Waste Centre 2-4 Toogood Avenue, Beverley, and can be accessed at any time during opening hours as soon as you have received your voucher. You will be sent a QR code to scan at the gate.

This can be done either on your phone or printed on paper. You must provide proof of residency at the gate in the form of a driver’s licence, utility bill or rates notice. Property owners must be in attendance, you cannot send a representative on your behalf.

To be sent a voucher for depot drop-off, complete the form online or phone the Waste Line (free call) on 1800 777 844 during office hours. You can also visit the Civic Centre during business hours for assistance to book a voucher.

Once your request for a depot drop-off voucher has been accepted, you will be sent a QR code to scan at the date.

You must bring proof of residency with you in the form of a drivers licence, utility bill or rates notice.

This service is only available to residential properties.

Hard waste drop off vouchers expire after 6 weeks of the date off booking. If the voucher expires it will count as one of your entitlements. If you need to cancel a voucher, call the Wasteline 1800 777 844 between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and request cancellation before the voucher has  expired.

Hard waste drop off vouchers are non-transferable and can not be passed on to other residents.
