advises that Semaphore Jetty will be partially closed for approximately four weeks from early October until early November 2018 to allow for upgrade works.
This work is in addition to the minor repair works undertaken earlier in the year, and will include installation of a new jetty shelter. Structural timbers and supports will also be replaced to ensure the long-term structural integrity of our jetties for many years to come.
Construction works will take place on each end of the jetty. During works the public will be able to access the middle of the jetty via steps midway along the beach.
While the majority of construction work will be undertaken during the day, some night works may be required. Should night works be required, nearby residents and businesses will be provided with advance notice.
This project forms part of the South Australian Government’s $3.4 million Marine Jetties Program
DPTI appreciates the community’s patience with this project.
