HAB Australia

HAB is a planet conscious clothing brand that promotes sustainable fashion. Using organic and ethically sourced fibres, including HEMP, organic cotton and linen, their aim is to slow down fashion. HAB have been a crowd favourite at many a Handmade Market in the Port. 

SpinFX AustrAliA

SpinFX AustrAliA studio is based in Port Adelaide. They make colourful applique flags and bunting and also produce greeting cards and wrapping paper. SpinFX AustrAliA are another crowd favourite that bring plenty of colour to Handmade Markets.

Sophie Horvat Ceramics

Sophie Horvat is a passionate ceramicist and maker, utilising traditional and contemporary wheel throwing techniques to produce functional serving ware and statement vessels. The artist draws inspiration for their shapes and glazes from handmade traditions and the vibrant colours and textures of the Australian landscapes.

Kirkman Designs  is a business where Melissa Kirkman gets to share their artistic creations with the world.  

Melissa has always loved to paint and this business gives them the opportunity to digitally print unique, original paintings onto garments and sell them to anyone who wants to buy them.

John Ford

John Ford started his art journey late at the age of 40. Now 81, Ford is playing catch up. John's specialty is maritime art in acrylic and water colours. He also teaches numerous classes weekly at Port Community Arts Centre. John has been awarded an OAM for services to Port Adelaide and the arts in 2021.

Stephen Noonan makes high-quality and meticulously crafted original performances for theatres, public places and schools. Noonan has worked as a theatre maker for the past 30 years and specialises in theatre for young audiences for the past 15 years.

Sophie Mosimann is a photographer who has designed a line of cards and prints that pay homage to our local area and surrounds. Feature imagery of iconic sites around Port Adelaide and nearby beaches, the Artist tries to offer different view point to well known landmarks so that they are recognisable and yet present the sight anew. Moss often works in black and white and uses tone and contrast to present strong imagery. 

Bev Puckridge

Bev Puckridge is an established South Australian artist based in Port Adelaide. Bev's work has always been guided from their initial training at the SA School of Art and by an ongoing interest in contemporary art practice. Bev Puckridge's paintings are consistently based on personal exploration of space, colour, texture and line. Bev works mainly with acrylics on canvas and pushes personal boundaries by using a mixture of various mediums and techniques to establish a final narrative. Puckridge's studio overlooks the Port River, providing an ever-changing palette of soft hues and strong tones that can be seen from outside. The changing light, space, sky and water is a constant influence on the mood of each of Bev's paintings. Bev Puckridge exhibits locally at Jackalope Gallery, Port Adelaide, and at Art Images Gallery, Norwood. Their artwork is held in numerous private and corporate collections throughout Australia and also internationally.

Thomas Readett

Renowned artist Thomas Readett, a Ngarrindjeri man born and raised on Kaurna Country is Director of TR Visual Arts Pty Ltd. TRVA specialises in large-scale mural commissions, oil paintings, teaching and consultation in the areas of Arts Education, First Nations culture and much more. 

A graduate of the Adelaide Central School of Art, TRVA’s practice spans drawing, painting, video, music, advocacy and education. We are lucky enough to have a few of TRVA's murals in PAE.

Semaphore Sea Glass designs stunning and elegant artisan Sea Glass jewellery. Each Sea Glass piece is entirely genuine, not altered or grinded, having been sourced exactly as is from Adelaide's pristine metropolitan beaches and the beautiful South Australian coastline. Sea Glass pieces are individual glass fragments that have found their way into the ocean, then tumbled, worn down, frosted and smoothed by nature over many years, only to be returned to land, washed up onto the sand and rocks, to bathe in the heat of the sun or the sandblasting of the wind. Semaphore Sea Glass transform these repurposed gems into exceptional and unique handmade jewellery.
