Grants for creatives
Funding
The City of PAE offers funding for the arts under several streams.
Creative Industry Grants of up to $5000 aim to support creative practitioners of all disciplines to grow their practice and deliver projects that contribute to PAE's vision for a strong, creative, impactful and suitable arts ecology.
Placemaking Grants of up to $7,500 aim to support the creation and delivery of projects in public spaces across the city. These include initiatives that improve how we feel and use our public spaces and how we can enhance the way they look and work, and also how we celebrate our heritage. The program aims is to give the community the opportunity to make their City a place where people love to be through placemaking projects of all sizes and shapes.
Our Events Grant Program offers up to $15,000 and aims to help create a community that is inclusive, cohesive, creative and prosperous through the support of a program of accessible and diverse community events and festivals across the City.
The Arts Organisation Fund offers up to $40,000 to attract and support professional arts organisations to the City of PAE. Be part of building on the vibrant creative identity of PAE and to make a real impact on the creative sector.

SALA subsidy
Open now until 6pm, Thursday 28 May 2026
We are proud to support local creatives and acknowledges the value that artists and local venues play in the cultural life of our council area. We are providing a $125 capped subsidy to assist individuals and a $225 capped subsidy to assist groups with costs associated with registering for SALA Festival. The subsidy is available to:
- Artists exhibiting within the City of Port Adelaide Enfield
- Artists who reside in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield exhibiting in another council area
The subsidy is only provided for costs associated with registrations for SALA Festival. The subsidy will be available until the budget allocation of $5,000 is expended. Applications will be dated in order of receipt, and no correspondence will be entered into.
To receive the subsidy artist are required to:
- Register for SALA via the SALA website by the closing date of midnight 6 May 2026
- Pay the relevant registration fee to SALA
- Complete and return the PAE SALA Subsidy Application along with a copy of the SALA registration receipt and Statement by Supplier (if relevant) by 6pm, Thursday 28 May 2026 to: arts@cityofpae.sa.gov.au or

GUILDHOUSE MENTORSHIP - CATAPULT

Guildhouse Mentorship - Catapult
We are partnering with Guildhouse to support a creative resident to undertake a professional development mentorship.
The Catapult + City of Port Adelaide Enfield Mentorship provides a 9-month funded opportunity for a visual artist, crafts practitioner or designer residing in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
Catapult is an artist-led mentoring program delivered by Guildhouse since 2018. The program provides a flexible and paid opportunity for artists at all stages of their career to purposefully engage with their chosen mentor, with Guildhouse providing support and facilitation.
The mentorship will culminate in a public program (such as an artist talk, workshop or demonstration) for the PAE community.
The selected applicant will receive $8,000 administered by Guildhouse and paid directly to the mentee and mentor in two instalments:
$7,000 – mentee and mentor fees (including superannuation)
$1,000 – to support the development of the PAE public program outcome

Feast Festival
Feast Festival is an arts and cultural event that brings together a variety of LGBTQIA+ performers, artists, communities, and audiences. With a history that dates back to 1997, Feast has been and continues to be a welcoming and safe environment for the community to express themselves.
As proud supporters of local creatives, we acknowledge the value that artists and local venues play in the cultural life of our council area.
We are providing a $180 capped subsidy to assist individuals and groups with costs associated with registering for Feast Festival.
The subsidy is available to:
Artists and performers exhibiting within the City of Port Adelaide Enfield
Artists who reside in the City of Port Adelaide Enfield exhibiting in another council area
The subsidy is only provided for costs associated with registrations for Feast Festival.
The subsidy will be available until the budget allocation of $3,000 is expended.
To receive the subsidy:
- Register for Feast Festival via the Feast Festival website until the closing date of Tuesday 22 July 2025
- Proceed to check-out to finalise any outstanding fees to complete your Feast Festival event listing
- The rebate is then applied automatically at check-out via the Feast Festival registration platform (until allocation is exhausted)
