High school students can join us for a week-long work experience program, to experience working in a diverse, contemporary organisation.
What is the City of PAE Work Experience Program?
The City of PAE Work Experience Program will provide participants with:
- The opportunity to gain practical job experience and skills in a large, diverse organisation
- An insight into the skills and knowledge required in the workplace
- Exposure to a wide range of roles and areas across council
- Information to help students make an informed decision about their future career
- Advice about job opportunities in local government
Who is the program for?
The program is suitable for students who:
- Are in Year 10 or 11 and have not identified a key area of interest and would benefit from experiencing a range of different possible careers
- Have an interest in learning more about local government
- Engage well in group settings, rather than participating in a work experience placement individually
- Live or study within the City of PAE area
We value diversity and inclusion, and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply
