Each November during Nunga Week, we celebrate traditional culture, art, knowledge, history, food and most importantly the First Nations Elders who live and work in the City of PAE.
During Nunga Week we collaborate and partner with a range of community organisations to present a program that has a broad range of activities and events for the community to enjoy. All activities are free, but some require bookings and may have capacity limits.

Nunga Week Family Fun Day

Join Centacare as they celebrate Nunga Week with a vibrant day of culture, connection, family and fun including a Welcome to Country, activities, information stalls, Kaurna Language class, free traditional food by Bushtucker Catering, coffee cart, Highlands Bakehouse donuts and Dance and Smoking Ceremony by Spirit in Unity.

Aboriginal Art & Design

Join professional Aboriginal artist De Greer-Yindimincarlie this Nunga Week to learn about Aboriginal Art & Design in this special 'after hours' event.
With her wealth of knowledge and experience as an artist and educator, De offers an insightful and engaging perspective on both the history and future of First Nations art and design, alongside her own creative journey. You will learn about Aboriginal art, mediums and materials - from the conception of Aboriginal art all the way through to contemporary Aboriginal/Urban art and art forms.
Light refreshments will be served. Free session for ages +16 years. Bookings open two weeks ahead of the event.
