Business owners play a big part in effective waste management in PAE. Discover bin entitlements for businesses, shops, community groups and schools.
The following bin entitlements are outlined in our Waste Service Standard.
Commercial and industrial premises:
- 1x 140L waste bin (blue lid)
- 1x 240L recycling bin (yellow Lid)
- 1x 240L organics bin (green lid – note that this is an opt-in, paid service)
Community groups, churches, not for profits, sporting clubs
May request the supply and collection of up to:
- 2x 140L waste bin (blue bin)
- 2x 240L recycling bin (yellow lid)
- 4x 240L organic bin (green lid)
These groups are also entitled to two hard waste vouchers per calendar year. Read more about the hard waste voucher scheme.
Multi-unit and apartment buildings
We may supply shared bins for multiple tenancies or bulk bins for residual, recycling and organics collection at our discretion. We will assess requests for shared and bulk bins on a case-by-case basis.
Schools and education providers
The South Australian Department for Education and private education providers (including not for profit organisations) is responsible for waste collection services to all South Australian schools. This includes universities, TAFE SA, secondary, primary, preschool, kindergarten and early education centres.
