If there are parking restrictions outside your house, a residential parking permit can enable you to park there by exempting you from the restrictions.
If you're a resident of the City of PAE, as either an owner–occupier or a tenant, and there are parking restrictions outside your property, you may be eligible for a fixed or a transferable permit.
There are two kinds of parking permits – transferable parking permits and fixed parking permits. Transferable parking permits are not tied to a specific vehicle and can be shared between residents and visitors to a property. Fixed permits are for specific vehicles and cannot be used by other vehicles.
A transferrable permit fee of $102.90 is applicable annually.
A parking permit does not guarantee you a space to park your vehicle in the street.
How do I apply for a residential parking permit?

Am I eligible for a residential parking permit?
We base your eligibility on the following factors:
- The parking controls in the street in front of or opposite your property
- The number of off-street parking spaces on your property
- The total number of all registered vehicles kept at your property
- Where you live within the City of PAE, and specifically what zone your street falls into under the Plan SA Planning and Design Code. The eligibility criteria for residents who live in an Activity Centre Zoned area according to the Planning and Design Code will be different from the eligibility criteria for residents who live in any other street in PAE
An Activity Centre Zoned area is an area where there are neighbourhood shops, businesses, entertainment and recreation facilities, and where there is a focus for both business and community life.
