You may have driven down South Road recently and seen the new grandstand alongside the freeway. Today we officially opened the new home of Croydon FC, with Mayor Claire Boan cutting the ribbon.
This newly completed project features a grand two-story building with a function room, canteen, kiosk, referees room, medical room, and state-of-the-art changing facilities for players. Not to mention, the reserve boasts not one but two synthetic soccer pitches with floodlighting, a third natural turf pitch, and a brand new electronic scoreboard!
Alongside there is extensive stormwater management with the pitch able to be used as a detention basin to increase the capacity of the stormwater system, plus landscaping, a plaza, and a car park.
The $7.5 million project began in November 2020 and was completed in February 2023. That's over two years of hard work and dedication to bring this amazing reserve to life.
We couldn't be more excited to see Regency Reserve come to fruition, and we can't wait to see all the incredible sporting moments that will happen here. So grab your gear and head down to Regency Reserve to check it out for yourself!
The reserve is used by the Croydon Football Club at the following times, but is open for the community to use outside of these hours. Monday to Friday 4pm – 10pm, Saturday 8am – 10pm and Sunday 8am – 6pm.
