In an exciting update, we have reaffirmed our commitment to deliver the Semaphore Foreshore Master Plan. After a brief break to carefully assess all the feedback received from last year's community engagement, the project is set to resume with renewed energy.
We will be working towards a revised draft Master Plan design, based on valuable input from our community and with emphasis on eight key themes that have been identified. These themes encompass various aspects, ranging from preserving the beloved carousel's existing location, to increasing the amount of grassed area for families to enjoy. Additionally, based on feedback, we will review the amount of paving and the locations of events, amusements, and activity hubs to best serve the community's needs.
While some changes are on the horizon, cherished features like the steam train, water play area, and Kaurna storytelling will remain integral parts of the new draft plan.
We are committed to ensuring our community continues to be involved throughout the process. Over the next six months, community and key stakeholders will be given opportunities to provide feedback and shape the future of the foreshore plan. Multiple channels will be available for you to voice your opinions and influence the outcomes.

All feedback received during this second round of engagement will be considered for the Final Master Plan, expected to be endorsed by Council in mid-2024.
