Yitpi Yartapuultiku has been progressing well through October and is set to open early 2025. We have finalised hood and ductwork in the 12-station training kitchen and are progressing well with:
- All building and external elements, from spreading surplus soil, planting, first fix services, aluminium and glazing, and internal linings.
- Cladding and ceilings throughout both buildings
- Kerbing and base preparation to the Southern (Elders’) Carpark
- Landscaping works ongoing in multiple areas with Outside Ideas targeting play spaces, logs, rock seating and final adjustments to ground levels to create special landscaped areas
- Planting and the installation of temporary and permanent irrigation
Volunteers from Friends of Port River worked alongside PAE and University of Adelaide to collect more than 120 mangrove seedlings from Mutton Cove. The seedlings were then transplanted into their new home in the living shoreline with assistance from school students at Clontarf. Plus, our partners Sarah Constructions hosted Tauondi College for a tour of the project as part of its commitment to community involvement.
