With the Christmas and New Year season well and truly behind us, it's time to provide another update on the progress of Yitpi Yartapuultiku.
Teams on the ground have continued their work on the site with:
- External paving works largely completed
- Planting continues across the site with native plants specially grown/sourced for Yitpi Yartapuultiku
- Cladding of the external toilet block is complete
- All glazing has been installed within the building
- Painting continues throughout the building, with wall finishes to the kitchen including vinyl and tiling
- Joinery units have been installed in meeting spaces
As part of Council's continued efforts to ensure a co-designed process Elders from the Kaurna community who are involved in Yitpi Yartapuultiku as Project Custodians and with council’s Aboriginal Advisory Panel were provided with a site tour on 15 January to see the construction progress first-hand.
