The Australia Day Awards are supported by the Australia Day Council of South Australia and are administered by councils like the City of PAE throughout South Australia.
Recognising and celebrating achievements and contributions to the community, we award achievement in the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Older Citizen of the Year (at least 65 years)
- Young Citizen of the Year (16-30 years)
- Junior Citizen of the Year (under 16 years)
- Community Event of the Year
- Emerging Event or Community Group
- Service to Community
Young and Junior Citizens don’t need to have many years of dedicated service, they can be recognised for their great work in 2026.
Please share the nomination form with your networks across PAE. Your support to encourage nominations, or nominating a member of the community yourself, is crucial to getting the word out there and receiving nominations.
Nominations for a City of PAE Australia Day Award open Tuesday 1 September until 5pm Friday 23 October.
Visit the Recognition awards page to find the criteria and online nomination form.
