A huge thank you to the more than 80 volunteers who rolled up their sleeves over the weekend to help green our city and support local biodiversity. Together, an incredible 2,100 seedlings were planted in record time!
The planting took place along Dry Creek near Down Drive, Valley View, as part of National Tree Day, with The Friends of Dry Creek Trail leading the project in partnership with the City of PAE. Native grasses and small shrubs were planted along the shared-use path to help enhance the native grassland and provide important habitat for local wildlife, including native butterflies.
A special thank you to the Friends of Dry Creek Trail, along with volunteers from Hillcrest Scout Group, Golden Grove Scout Group, Prescott Primary Northern, and the Shah Satnam Ji Green S Welfare Committee for their contribution.
We're proud to support community-led initiatives that protect and enhance our natural environment, creating a greener, healthier and more sustainable future for everyone. If you have an idea for a local environmental project, reach out to us to see how we can help make it happen.
