Wrapping up PAE

During the Festive season of 2024, we 'Wrapped up PAE' and spread community spirit by decorating the City of PAE in red bows.

Bows were available for purchase, with all proceeds directly supporting the following local community organisations helping the people of PAE:

Bows in 2025

While we are not selling bows again this year, many residents and businesses have held onto their bows, and we encourage everyone to put them out again, on trees, letterboxes, fences, and on the front of buildings. We have also now installed bows in our Civic Centre and key precincts across the city along with flags and banners. More festive decorations and activities will continue to be installed over the coming weeks.

Who can buy a bow?

The bows were designed as a visual representation of community spirit across the City of PAE so our preference is that they are purchased by PAE residents, community groups and businesses only.

Why a bow?

We understand that not all cultures celebrate Christmas, however many community members, even those who do not celebrate Christmas, have let us know that they are happy to join in, so we have gone for the simple symbolism of a bow. We know that a number of our multi-cultural communities respect and value the traditions celebrated within Australia.

What else is PAE doing to spread community spirit?

The City of PAE is complementing the sale of bows by:

Installing bows in key precincts across the city
Displays in key public spaces – flags, banners and some large scale Christmas present decorations
Displays on and in Council owned buildings including the Civic Centre, Libraries, Community Centres and Sport Centres
Decals with red bows available for businesses and community organisations to display in their windows
