This Christmas we're 'Wrapping up PAE' and spreading community spirit by decorating the City of PAE in red bows.
The community are encouraged to buy a bow for $5, with all proceeds directly supporting the following local community organisations helping the people of PAE:
- Junction Community Centre
- North-east Community Assistance Project
- Safe Pets Safe Families
- Women’s Safety Services SA - Western Adelaide Domestic Violence Service
Share your community spirit this season and make a positive impact on our community by displaying your bows on trees, letterboxes, fences, and on the front of buildings and businesses.
PAE is complementing the sale of bows by installing bows in our Civic Centre and key precincts across the city along with flags, banners and some large-scale Christmas present decorations to join in the fun.
Bows will be available for purchase from Monday 2 December through to Christmas at:
- Civic Centre
- Visitor Information Centre
- The Lights Community and Sports Centre
- Lefevre Community and Sports Stadium
- Enfield Library
- Greenacres Library
- Parks Library
- Port Adelaide Library
- Semaphore Library

The bows were designed as a visual representation of community spirit across the City of PAE so our preference is that they are purchased by PAE residents, community groups and businesses only.
We understand that not all cultures celebrate Christmas, however many community members, even those who do not celebrate Christmas, have let us know that they are happy to join in, so we have gone for the simple symbolism of a bow. We know that a number of our multi-cultural communities respect and value the traditions celebrated within Australia.
The City of PAE is complementing the sale of bows by:
- Installing bows in key precincts across the city
- Displays in key public spaces – flags, banners and some large scale Christmas present decorations
- Displays on and in Council owned buildings including the Civic Centre, Libraries, Community Centres and Sport Centres
- Decals with red bows available for businesses and community organisations to display in their windows
