Reserve History
In 2023, Council worked closely with students and teachers from Adelaide West Special Education Centre and Largs Bay School to help shape the design of the Largs Bay Playground. Feedback from these students informed the playground's play elements, accessibility features and overall concept, including the ice cream theme, which was inspired by a suggestion from Ben at Birdseye and the site's proximity to the Largs Bay Kiosk. Local business Iguana Creative partnered with Council to bring the unique design to life, overcoming challenges along the way to deliver the finished playground for the community to enjoy.
