Harold Charles Roy Marten C.B.E was a Councillor for North Ward in Port Adelaie from 1960-1964, Mayor from 1969-1987 and Alderman from 1987-1990 for Port Adelaide Council.

Roy Marten Reserve on Military Road, Taperoo is named after him.
