Services

Council services are many and varied and we provide special supports to some of the most vulnerable groups in the community.

Our Community Services team provide services to assist older people, people with disabilities and adult carers to remain living at home for as long as possible. Supports like domestic and home assistance, social programs and transport can be arranged. Federal and State funding to Council assists us to provide these services.

Other services like our Community Bus program can be enjoyed by everyone in the community, and Council's buses can be hired by community groups for outings and activities.

For more than 10 years Council has had a targeted approach to community safety through its Graffiti Management Program. The rapid removal of graffiti is a free Council service provided to all owners/occupiers, although on large commercial and industrial sites a contribution for materials may be sought. Council’s service standard for normal graffiti removal is four working days from it being reported and 24 hours for priority graffiti removal of anything offensive or racist.

JP services are offered from the Civic Centre and Libraries and more information about this and other services is available in this section.
