Development Compliance

Council Development Compliance Officers investigate alleged breaches of the Planning, Development, and Infrastructure Act 2016 (the ‘Act’). For example:

Development without authorisation
Breach of conditions of an authorisation
Unauthorised change of land use

Where a breach of the Act poses risk to public health and safety, the environment or significantly detracts from the amenity of an area, Council will take reasonable and proportionate enforcement action against those who act unlawfully.
