Each of our libraries host programs for the little people in your life.
Baby Bounce sessions are designed specially for children aged 0-2 years. Introduce your child to the joys of language by sharing nursery rhymes, stories, music and songs. These sessions are held weekly. Find a session.
Toddler Time is a fun session designed to support your toddler's early learning. Children ages 18 months-3 will enjoy music and songs, rhymes, toddler books and sensory development benefits. Find a session.
Storytime is held weekly during school term time to encourage the enjoyment of reading and libraries. Stories, songs, rhymes and a simple craft activity are offered in these sessions for 2-5 year olds. Find a session.
Active Storytime at the Lights is a program designed for pre-schoolers who struggle with a more traditional Storytime structure. Get school ready with music and songs, group learning, movement and social development activities. 10:30am on Fridays during the school term.
School Holiday Programs are held each school holiday period. Each program is themed and your kids will love the range of free events on offer, which include craft, performers, digital workshops and much more. Sessions are very popular so don't forget to book. The theme for the 2020/2021 summer break is Monster Madness! The aim is to expose children in the community to the exciting world of fantasy, and allow them to explore all things whimsical. Through a variety of events and activities, children will be encouraged to use their imaginations and flex their creative muscles. Please download the program and make sure you book to secure your place.
The City of PAE Librarians are also inviting all children aged 5 - 13 to join their Monster Reading Challenge! Read 30 books between December 12 and January 24 and you could win one of 3 great prizes. Participants will also earn virtual badges as they progress along their reading adventure. Simply register via cityofpae.beanstack.org or download the Beanstack app on the Google Play or Apple Stores.

STEM Squad for children aged 9+ who want to learn more about science, technology, engineering and maths with a range of fun activities and experiments. Find a session. (Parks, Port Adelaide and Greenacres only)
Creative Kids is a space where kids can create, invent and discover! There's no need to book. All activities are held 3.30-4.30pm during school terms. Find a session.
Lil' Greenies is a place for kids to learn about the environment in a fun, hands-on way with creative and sustainable activities, plus exciting excursions! Mondays after school, 3.30-4.30pm during the school term at Semaphore Library. Find a session.
Teen Scribblers is for young people aged 13-18 and encourages love for the written word. Feed your passion for writing and be encouraged by other talented teens. Led by a fellow young writer, you will have the chance to create, share ideas, draw and let your imagination run wild. Greenacres Library, 4-5pm every Thursday. Find a session.
Anime Club is for teenagers (15 years+) who love all things anime and manga. The club meets at Enfield Library, Thursdays fortnightly, 4-5pm. Find a session.
The library hosts many events and programs daily, which includes art and craft groups, book clubs,author talks, health and wellbeing workshops, technology programs and information sessions. You'll always find something to suit your needs. Search the Event calendar to find out what's on and to book your spot (bookings are essential for some programs).

Join a Book Club Book Clubs are a great way to share your love of reading, discover new authors, and discuss books with others. We have groups that meet monthly at all of our libraries, and one at the local pub.
Borrow our Book Club Sets If you have your own book club you can borrow our book sets, which come in packs of 10. We are continually updating our selection, and are open to suggestions! Book Sets List
Bring your own laptop, tablet or smart phone to the library and let us teach you the latest tips and tricks. If you have something specific you need help with, we are happy to talk you through it. Find a session.
Spend an hour with a volunteer guiding you through the basic functions of a computer and using the internet. Tips can include browsing the web and setting up and managing an email account. Book into a session.
