Work Experience

PAE is excited to offer a new program for work experience that will give High School students a great introduction to what Council does and the range of roles available. It will be offered as a biannual, week-long program. Limited Ad-Hoc places will be available outside the offered set timeframes.

The program will allow school students the opportunity to gain practical job experience and skills in a large, diverse organisation. It will also help you make an informed decision about your future career and about job opportunities in local government.

  • Work Experience will be open to residents of the City of Port Adelaide Enfield Council area
  • No placements are provided through agencies
  • Availability of placements will depend on resources at the time of the application
  • Work Experience positions are unpaid
  • All students must be registered with a recognised school or tertiary institution that covers them for personal insurance, public liability and professional indemnity
    For Example: High Schools Universities (if work experience is a mandatory requirement to complete the relevant course)
