My Bins

We provide households and businesses with bins to assist in the management of waste and recycling.

Residential properties have different bin entitlements to businesses. If you require a new bin, or to report a stolen or damaged bin, you can request a new bin or repairs online.

New Bin Form

If you have built a new house or moved into an existing premises and bins are missing, or if your bin has been stolen, you can request a new one online.

If you operate a business in the City of PAE and need a council wheelie bin for the business, please call the waste line on 1800 777 844 between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

Sometimes bins become damaged. If a lid is missing, falls off or is damaged, it can generally be repaired. Wheels can also generally be repaired or replaced. Holes, and cracks in the bin body can not be repaired and you will require a new bin. Request bin repairs online or contact the Waste Line 1800 777 844 during office hours.

If your bin has not been collected on the scheduled day, please call the waste line free call 1800 777 844 within 24 hours to request return collection of a missed bin. If calling after 5pm, please leave a message that provides the bin type, address, name and phone number and leave the bin kerbside for collection. You can also let us know online.

Residential Premises 1x 140L Waste Bin (Blue Lid) 1x 240L Recycling Bin (Yellow Lid) 1x 240L Organics Bin (Green Lid) 1x 8L Kitchen Caddy.

Commercial and Industrial Premises 1x 140L Waste Bin (Blue lid) 1x 240L Recycling Bin (Yellow Lid) and  1x 240L Organic bin (opt in, paid service).

Community groups, Churches, Not for Profit, Sporting Clubs may request the supply and collection of  up to 2x 140L Waste Bin 2x 240L Recycling Bin (Yellow Lid) 4x 240L Organics Bin (Green Lid)

Multi-unit and apartment buildings Council may supply shared bins for multiple tenancies or bulk bins for residual, recycling and organics collection at its discretion. Requests for shared and bulk bins will be assessed by Council staff on a case by case basis.

Schools and Education Providers

The South Australian Department for Education and private education providers (including not for profit organisations) will be responsible for all waste collection services to all South Australian schools which includes universities, TAFE SA, secondary, primary, preschool, kindergarten and early education centres.

Recycling and Organics Waste Bins - Residential

Each residential property can apply to access one (1) 240L 'Greens Bin' for organic waste, and/or one (1) 240L 'Yellow  Bin' for recyclable items for an annual fee of $50 per bin. This fee covers the collection of the additional bin for the financial year and is not pro-rata.

General Waste Bins - Residential

Only households where a resident lives with a medical condition that generates additional waste will be eligible to access an additional general waste bin.

You must obtain written evidence from a qualified professional demonstrating that you need an additional bin to dispose of waste associated with your medical condition. A range of people can provide you with this documentation (for example, a doctor, social worker, carer or nurse). Each application is subject to an annual review.

There is no fee for the additional general waste bin service.

Commercial and Industrial Premises

Business and commercial premises can apply to access 1 240L ‘Green Bin’ for organic waste for an annual fee of $50 per bin. The fee covers the collection of the additional bin for the financial year and is not pro rata.

Community Groups, Churches, Not for Profit and Sporting Clubs

Please note that no additional recyclable or organics bins will be provided for commercial, community groups, churches, not for profits or sporting clubs above the kerbside bin collection entitlements.
