PAE 2023-24 Cruise Ship Program:

• Shuttle bus service on 11 cruise arrival dates from the Port Adelaide Passenger Terminal to Port Adelaide via Semaphore (route can be viewed here).
• Dedicated webpages for cruise arrival information, special offers, and suggested itineraries to enable pre-travel planning as well!
• A printed brochure with dining, shopping, and sightseeing information, with a QR code link to special offers.
• Promotional materials for participating businesses.
• Updates to the South Australian Tourism Commission about events and what’s open.
• Training sessions with SATC Cruise Volunteers to promote the region.

Cruise Season 2023-24: Overview

Cruise ships are set to arrive from Thursday, October 26, 2023, to Tuesday, April 9, 2024, bringing 42 arrivals. With an estimated 75,369 passengers and 31,104 crew members expected, this season is full of promise.

Snapshot of Cruise Arrivals:

• Arrival Dates: October 26, 2023, to April 9, 2024.
• Total Arrivals: 42 cruise ship arrivals.
• Passengers: Anticipated 75,369 passengers.
• Crew: Approximately 31,104 crew members.
• 13 Transit Arrivals: With more than 2000 passengers.
• 13 Transit Arrivals: With fewer than 2000 passengers, many of these are smaller expedition vessels.
• 4 Partial Turn Around Arrivals: With over 2000 passengers.
• 12 Full Turn Arrivals: With between 100-2394 passengers.

Key Information About Cruise:

• Pax: Refers to passengers, with final numbers confirmed closer to arrival.
• Arrival Time: Ships dock at this time, with passenger disembarkation typically starting a few hours later.
• Transit: Indicates a day stop where passengers explore the destination or port city before returning to the ship.
• Partial Turn Around: Involves a mix of transiting passengers and those starting or ending their journey.
• Full Turn Around: On these days, passengers disembark and embark, generally without sightseeing. No shuttle services on these days.
• Cunard Cruise Line: Cunard arrivals tend to go directly to Adelaide on a cruise line packaged transfer bus, reducing their opportunity to experience Port Adelaide & Coast. No shuttle service on Cunard arrival dates.

PAE Cruise Shuttle Bus Service:

The PAE Cruise Shuttle Bus will operate on 10 arrival dates, targeting ships with over 2000 passengers in transit, with the first shuttle bus service on Sunday 12 November. This presents an opportunity to engage passengers who aren't part of pre-organised tours, encouraging them to explore Port Adelaide & Coast's attractions, experiences, and businesses.
