Transport

Dear passenger we are pleased to advise that Council’s Community Bus fixed circuit service will re-commence as of Monday 7th September 2020. In the interest of community health and wellbeing, the service will be operating in a modified capacity to assist with increased cleaning of vehicles at the end of each shift.

Until further notice the changes to the timetables are listed below:

No.1  The Parks circuit commences Wednesday 9th September 2020 and will operate Wednesday to Friday starting at 8.35am finishing at 12.20pm at Churchill Shopping Centre
No. 2  The Central  circuit commences Monday 7th September 2020 and will operate Monday to Friday starting at 8.35am finishing at 12.20pm at Churchill Shopping Centre
No. 3 The Plains circuit commences Thursday 10th September 2020 and will operate Thursday’s only commencing at 9.10am finishing at 12.50pm
No.4 The Harborline circuit commences Wednesday 9th September 2020 and will operate Wednesday’s only starting at 8.35am finishing at 12.20pm

Passengers are encouraged to use the contactless hand sanitiser on board the vehicle and maintain social distancing.

The Community Bus Charter Service has ceased operation until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Bus Services - Charter

Eligibility
Available for locally based, not for profit organisations or community groups with otherwise limited access to affordable group transport services. All hirers must agree to the conditions of hire.

Destination
Must be within 100km radius of the Council Depot at Kilburn, although no limit is set on total distance travelled.

Booking procedures
To book a Community Bus it is essential that you contact the Community Programs Officer on (08) 8405 6702 or Email prior to making any arrangements. The Community Buses are used by many community groups and advance planning is recommended.

Once you have confirmed availability with the Officer you can proceed to printing out the Booking Form which must be completed, signed and returned to the Officer at least 10 days prior to the charter date in order to hold the booking/s.

Community Bus

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield Community Bus Service provides a fixed route service for all residents, especially for those who are unable to access public transport, have a limited income and/or mobility problems. There are three fixed circuits operating over the whole of the Council area. They provide transport to regional shopping centres, libraries and other facilities. The buses are driven by accredited volunteer drivers who are committed to providing a high quality service to their community.

Council may be able to assist eligible passengers through its Home Support Program. Information regarding public transport in the metropolitan area is available from the Adelaide Metro Website listed below.

Timetables are also available from Council Offices, Libraries and the volunteer bus drivers.
