Any enquires in relation to the 'application' for Citizenship should be directed to the Department of Home Affairs in the first instance by contacting the Australian Citizenship Line on 131 880 or by logging onto their website.

Application Forms

Council no longer issues copies of any citizenship application forms. All up-to-date forms can be downloaded directly from the Department's website or by contacting the Australian Citizenship Line on 131 880.

Ceremony Dates

The Department of Home Affairs notifies Council when there is a sufficient number of candidates to conduct a ceremony. Council then determines a suitable date and invites Members of Parliament and Elected Members to attend. The Department of Home Affairs issues invitations to eligible candidates.

Ceremony Venues

Council alternates the use of venues when holding a Ceremony between the Port Adelaide Enfield Town Hall, 34 Nile Street, Port Adelaide and the Enfield Community Centre, 540 Regency Road, Enfield.

All Ceremonies performed by the City of Port Adelaide Enfield are free.

Electoral Enrolment

Candidates 17 years and over are eligible to enrol on the Federal and State electoral roll. Although only those candidates 18 years and over are eligible to vote. Voting is compulsory in Federal and State elections.
